Building on the telecommunications industry's

announced two new products the SPA-841 VoIP phone and the SPA-2100 analog
telephone adapter (ATA). Both products use the SIP communication protocol
to communicate with other network elements like VoIP/PSTN gateways,
softswitches, and application servers in a service provider or enterprise
IP network.
SPA-841 IP Phone:
Communication is the lifeblood of world business. And VoIP technology is
revolutionizing the telecommunications industry whereby small, medium and

the cost of operations and increase productivity of workers. The SPA-841
is Sipura's first product entry into the business telephone market.
The SPA-841 is an affordable, full featured business class telephone with
up to four independently configurable line appearances / extensions, a high
resolution pixel-based display, speakerphone, headset jack and message
waiting indicator with a dedicated message retrieval button. Via an
intuitive, easy to operate user interface, the SPA-841 supports,
do-not-disturb, call hold, transfer (blind + consultative), three party
conferencing and more. A personal directory, call logs for made, received
and missed calls and speed dialing is supported. On-hook and off-hook
dialing, directory dialing with name and number matching is also supported.

Quantity pricing starts at $80.00 for 200 units. A license that enables
all four line appearances / extensions on the SPA-841 is available as an
upgrade from Sipura for $30.00.

SPA-2100 Analog Telephone Adapter:
Service providers addressing the rapidly growing market for residential and
business voice over broadband services will now be able to address the
millions of broadband customers who do not have a home network with a
Sipura SPA that combines ATA functionality with home networking
functionality. The SPA-2100 is the latest edition to Sipura's phenomenally
successful line-up of ATAs. The SPA-2100 features two RJ-11 telephone/fax
FXS ports for connection to traditional analog phones, fax machines and
business communication platforms. The SPA-2100 includes an Ethernet port
for connection to a home PC or network as well as a second Ethernet port
for connection to a cable or DSL modem. The SPA-2100 uses new, more
powerful media processing technology and greater memory supporting all the
features of the SPA-2000 ATA as well as quality of service, multiple
simultaneous complex codec and IP faxing support. ITU-T.38 real-time fax
over IP will be supported via a software upgrade in a post first customer
shipment firmware release. List price for the SPA-2100 is $109.95.
Quantity pricing starts at $80.00 for 200 units.
"Sipura's engineering team has strived to provide the most comprehensive
line of VoIP products with unbeatable value," said Jan Fandrianto, Sipura
Technology, Inc. president and CEO. "The addition of a VoIP phone and ATA
with home network routing capability has been highly anticipated by our
customers," Fandrianto said. "With today's announcement of the SPA-841
telephone and SPA-2100 ATA we can meet the immediate needs of both service
provider and enterprise customers who want interoperable, SIP standard,
secure, affordable and feature rich VoIP endpoints," he added.
Sipura's innovative implementation of the popular worldwide IP telephony
standard Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is used
in the SPA-841 and SPA-2100 in addition to secure and sophisticated
provisioning and firmware update technology. Sipura incorporates
technologies like SIP, HTTPS, XML and multiple toll-quality voice coding
algorithms to deliver solutions to service providers and system
integrators. Many of the hundreds of calling, regional, configuration and
provisioning features already used by the world's leading VoIP service
providers on Sipura's market leading SPA-1000, SPA-2000 and SPA-3000
products are available so that immediate deployment and management of the
SPA-841 and SPA-2100 can be accomplished with relative ease.
The SPA-841 is being sampled by Sipura's customers today with general
availability expected in November. The entire Sipura product line
