Consolidated General Excited to Become "San Diego Socker" Mom
CONSOLIDATED GENERAL INC.
announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Staffco Enterprises, has signed
a contract with The San Diego Sockers of the Major Indoor Soccer League
(MISL) to provide management and marketing services.
Staffco Enterprises will be providing the team with a complete array of
services ranging from marketing to operations management. The San Diego
Sockers are considered a dynasty in the MISL boasting 10 League
championships in the past 11 seasons beginning in 1992. Their dominance
has attracted a very large fellowship in the San Diego area and drawn large
crowds to the team's home stadium, The San Diego Sports Arena.
The Sockers have engaged Staffco to handle all day-to-day and game day
operations due to its knowledge and specialization in the sports and
entertainment industry. Current ownership is involved in several business
ventures and realizes that it is essential to dedicate an experienced
management team to maximize the revenue potential of this sports franchise.
In order to achieve this goal, the Company is placing its newly appointed
President in San Diego to be directly responsible for the oversight of the
entire Sockers operation.
James Hartley, Staffco President, states: "Living in San Diego gives me a
unique perspective on this triumphant franchise. It is truly a very
exciting and rewarding opportunity to enjoy and continue the success of a
championship organization while substantially increasing its revenue
through innovative marketing and proficient management."
The San Diego Sockers defeated the Baltimore Blast Saturday night, 5-3,
avenging three losses in four games during last season. Led by newcomer,
Steve Butcher's two goals and an assist, the Sockers came from behind to
earn the win before 7, 226 fans. The Sockers travel to Baltimore next
Saturday, October 16 to face the Blast for the second time in one week.
