The Maricor Group Gets More Green With LEED

In the last two months, The Maricor Group,
) has increased
its team of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited
Professionals by eleven individuals, reflecting the firm's commitment to
sustainability. As of September, 2004 the following are new LEED
Accredited Professionals:
From the RES Engineering Division, Hudson and Boston, Massachusetts: John
Abraham, P.E., Vice President and Chief Operating Officer; Matthew V.
Stelmach, P.E., Vice President; Hani Mardini, P.E., Electrical
Engineer/Project Manager; Rajesh B. Kaul, P.E., Senior Engineer/Project
Manager; Edward Jones, Senior Electrical Designer; Eric Hansen, P.E.,
Mechanical Engineer; Brian Smith, P.E., Senior Electrical Engineer and
Patrick Scanlon, Energy/Commissioning Engineer. Anup S. Khatra, P.E.,
Principal Engineer, had previously completed his accreditation.
From the Eastcan Consulting Engineers Division, Moncton and Saint John, New
Brunswick: David Cowan, E.I.T., Electrical Design Engineer and Frederic
Desjardins, E.I.T., Mechanical Design Engineer.
From The Maricor Group's Facility Lifecycle Management Division: Steve
Kalisz, Senior Director of Business Development, Portland, Maine.
These experienced individuals have demonstrated their knowledge and
expertise in integrated design and construction industry standards and
process; in-depth familiarity with the LEED Rating System; LEED project
registration, documentation requirements, technical support and the
certification process; the understanding of green and sustainable design
strategies, practices, and corresponding credits; and familiarity with key
green and sustainable design resources and tools.
They will be recognized as LEED Accredited Professionals on the U.S. Green
Building Council (USGBC) web site and will receive a LEED Accredited
Professional Certificate.
