Final Week of Performances for the Production of "The Fallen 9/11"

Irish Echo Review Said Performance "Deserves Attention"

This is the last week of Grendel Productions, "The Fallen 9/11," which deals with the tragedy of September 11th through the experiences of an injured Manhattan attorney and a veteran New York City firefighter. The last performance is Sunday, October 3rd at 3 p.m.

"The Fallen 9/11," writes Joe Hurley, theater reviewer for the Irish Echo, "deserves attention as putting the agony of the twin towers into perspective." Hurley further writes, "the excellence and depth of feeling that floods through the best parts of his (Marese's) new play, to which the word 'inspired' is a not altogether inappropriate."

Kent Giltz, who studied at the Barrow Group Theater and who is making his New York stage debut, plays the role of attorney, Michael Sinclair. Tim Davis, a member of the Actors Studio, plays the role of NYFD Firefighter, Terry Rourke. Hurley writes of both men's performances, "The Fallen 9/11 lives and breathes when Davis and Giltz are holding the Stage."

"The Fallen 9/11" also features Heather McHugh, a lifetime member of the Actors Studio, and Tony Norney, who recently appeared in Tadgh's Dog. The production is being directed by the acclaimed Dunsten J. Cormack of who Hurley writes, "has done wonders".

Robert Marese is a playwright and screenwriter whose, "dialogue," Hurley writes, "is so completely convincing, as unpretentious as it is genuine sounding." Hurley continues, "(Marese)a writer in the grip of a valid idea, and equipped with the tools to bring it to successful fruition."

All profits from the production will be donated to the UFA's Widow's and Childrens' Fund.
