Sutron Books August Sales of $1,892,930 for Worldwide Projects

During August 2004, Sutron Corporation
received orders and contracts totaling $1,892,930 to provide
services, equipment, systems and software for a variety of water and
weather monitoring projects throughout the world.
NOAA's National Ocean Service (NOS) $464,720 procurement covered Sutron's
state-of-the-art Tide Stations, designed specifically to meet NOS
requirements for monitoring tides, storm surge, and other coastal
parameters. NOS ordered 22 Main Stations, 22 Redundant Tide Gauges, and
16 Hydrogauges.
Sutron also received purchase orders for $308,181 from the USGS Hydrologic
Instrumentation Facility (HIF) for Sutron Bubblers, 8210s and XLite
Dataloggers as well as 72 units of Sutron's SatLink2 GOES
Transmitter/Logger, the first GOES Satellite Transmitter/Logger with Pocket
PC communications, 4 analog inputs and 10 SDI-12 interfaces.
A contract totaling $151,000 was received from the Netherlands Antilles to
design, manufacture, install and service Airport Weather Observation
Systems (AWOS) for two airports in that country.
SFWMD (the South Florida Water Management District) awarded additional
service contracts totaling $343,041 to Sutron's Brandon, Florida office.
Sutron provides the District with flow monitoring, science and engineering,
site installation and SCADA services in support of SFWMD's actions to
comply with requirements of CERP (Comprehensive Everglades Restoration
Plan).
The US Army Corps of Engineers (COE)'s $100,000-plus August orders were for
Sutron dataloggers and SatLink2 Transmitter/Loggers. A $61,000 August
purchase order from the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) requisitioned
Sutron systems software, XConnect, and proprietary Sutron hardware.
Additionally, the Bureau of Reclamation in Alamosa, Colorado, issued a
$23,000 order for Sutron RTU panels, and the Texas Commission on
Environmental Quality ordered SatLink2 Transmitter/Loggers and other
related hardware totaling $22,000.
