KPN Successfully Deploys Aramova's Mobile Client Solution

Aramova Proves Seamless Mobility Across UMTS, GPRS, and WLAN Networks

Aramova, Inc. http://www.aramova.com)">, a pioneer in Intelligent Access Management solutions announced today that KPN, a leading European mobile operator with operations in Germany (E-Plus), Belgium (BASE) and in the Netherlands (KPN Mobile), has successfully deployed Aramova's CoreWorks, an advanced mobile and remote management solution, as a key component of its mobile data solution for its general packet radio service (GPRS), universal mobile telecommunications system (UMTS), and public wireless local area network (WLAN) access service in the Netherlands. Aramova was selected as the vendor of choice for KPN's mobile division's Internet smart client solution in May 2004. The multi-year contract provides a robust client/server framework that entirely supports the mobile data requirements and product and service roadmap of KPN for the coming years.

KPN Mobile led the market in providing GPRS and GSM services and in a bold move to became one of the first operators to offer 3G services over a UMTS network along with WLAN access, extending business critical mobility to its users by enabling automatic bearer selection between their networks with Aramova's seamless mobility solution. KPN customers will be able to simply connect to the Internet through their laptops using a dedicated PCMCIA card or GPRS/UMTS handset without encountering the complexities associated with the installation or configuration of their hardware, choosing the right network, switching between these networks, or enjoying value-added services. KPN will soon be introducing numerous non-voice products and business services for their customers, which will be enabled through Aramova's advanced mobility solutions.
