Welch's & SoftCoin Team at AD:TECH 2004 to Tout Welch's Road to Rewards Program
Brand Relationship Management Themes Central to Development & Success of Program
SoftCoin announced today that they will be
joined by Welch's to present at the Ad:Tech 2004 Conference in Chicago,
discussing the success of the Welch's Road to Rewards Program and the
importance of Brand Relationship Management practices in ongoing consumer
marketing initiatives.
SoftCoin is currently powering the Welch's Road to Rewards program, a
13-month initiative aimed at increasing sales of Welch's Jams, Jellies, and
Spreads products and rewarding their most loyal customers. Consumers
purchasing specially marked packages of Welch's Jams, Jellies, and Spreads
receive a secret code via an on-pack sticker good for an entry into the
Welch's Road to Rewards Sweepstakes to win a Minivan (awarded 4/1), a
Kitchen Makeover (awarded 7/1) or a $25,000 US Savings Bond (to be awarded
approx. 2/1/05). Additionally, each code gives consumers a chance to win
valuable quick-win prizes -- for the period from 7/1/04-1/31/05 these
include an IBM Thinkpad, a Kasey the Kinderbot Learning System, or a High
Sierra Kids backpack. Plus, all consumers receive valuable discounts at
select online retailers. To date, over 95,000 unique consumers have
activated more than 125,000 purchase verification codes. The program runs
through January 2005. To access the Welch's Road to Rewards program, visit

"Central to our goals for 2004 was developing effective methods to promote
consumer loyalty and tie this back to real purchases," said Sean
Harrington, Product Marketing Manager for Welch's Jams and Jellies. "The
program we developed using SoftCoin's BrandConnect(TM) platform has allowed
us to pursue these goals, all the while giving us increased visibility into
the ongoing performance of the program."
"SoftCoin has long believed in the power of the Internet to help brands
drive meaningful relationships with their most important consumers. We are
now seeing the widespread adoption of these brand relationship management
practices by leading companies, and the Welch's program is a perfect
example of the success that they can achieve," said Armen Najarian,
Director of Product Management at SoftCoin. "We are very excited to be
able to present these findings at Ad:Tech and that Welch's is joining us."
SoftCoin's Armen Najarian and Welch's Sean Harrington will present "Welch's
Jams & Jellies -- Driving Loyalty through Purchase Continuity" on July 13
at 2:00 p.m. in the Michigan Room of the Sheraton Chicago at Ad:Tech 2004.
