Former ABC 'Bachelor' Bob Guiney to visit Mason, OH for Allied Home Mortgage Capital Corporation's Loan-A-Rama, June 5

MASON, Ohio, May 14, 2004 -- Former ABC "Bachelor" Bob Guiney will be coming to Mason, OH to help promote Allied Home Mortgage Capital Corporation's (AHMCC) Loan-A-Rama on Saturday, June 5. The multi-talented reality television star/singer/author/mortgage broker hopes to draw attention to the afternoon event designed to help educate the community about the home owning experience.

The Loan-A-Rama will be held from noon-5 p.m. at the AHMCC office at 4680 Parkway Drive, Suite 202, Mason, Ohio 45040 and can be reached at (866) 270-5363.

Guiney is a previous branch manager with AHMCC in Dearborn, Michigan. At the insistence of his office staff, he signed up to be one of 25 eligible bachelors on the first season of "The Bachelorette," the ABC network's twist of their successful dating show formula. Bob made it to the second cut of eight and was clearly the breakout star of the season with repeated appearances on "Oprah," "Entertainment Tonight," and several other talk shows.

In May of 2003 the network announced the following season would feature Bob Guiney as the lone "Bachelor" trying to find romance among 25 women. Anxious viewers got even more of Bob and the ratings showed their passion for it. Wind-Up Records noticed his musical talents and Penguin Publishing asked him to write his success story in book form.

The previously unknown mortgage broker was now a nationwide celebrity and making so many public appearances he could not continue his day job. But that doesn't mean he's forgotten his roots, which is what drew him to participate in the upcoming Loan-A-Rama with Mason's local AHMCC branch.

"We know Bob will bring a lot of attention and people to the Loan-A-Rama and look at it as a community service event to help educate our neighbors about the home ownership process," AHMCC's Joe Roda said.

Roda explained that in addition to the musical performances and autograph signings by Bob Guiney, there will also be mini-seminars about the home owning experience with experts from all aspects of the process on hand to answer questions and provide information. Attendees will be able to get pre-approved for a home loan on the spot and walk away knowing exactly how much house they can afford.

"This will be a great, fun event for the entire family and our small way of sharing the joy of living in Mason with our surrounding area," Steve Ellis, the Allied branch's co-manager, said.

Bob Guiney will be available for interviews with the media upon request.
