Carson Grant In The Musical ‘Gilgamesh’

Carson Grant performs Ian Wehrle’s ‘Flood’ in ‘Gilgamesh,’ in the photo below. ‘Gilgamesh’ is the musical that played at the Connelly Theater, NYC, in April 2015.

With his baritone-bass voice, Carson Grant performed in two roles as the ‘Narrator’ and as ‘Utanapishti’ (Noah). He sang two main theme songs, ‘You Fool’ and ‘Flood’ with full choir and choreography, in the original debut of the musical.

‘Gilgamesh,’ was composed by Ian Wehrle and directed by Peter Petkovsek at the Connelly Theater, NYC. Lyrics were also created by Peter Petkovsek.

The New York Times and audiences remembered Carson Grant in the role of Agamemnon, in the original composition, ‘Tomorrow Agamemnon,’ as part of “Nov. 21, 1963: The Day Before” directed and composed by Nathan Currier, at the Symphony Space, NYC in 2013. [NY Times]

Technical Expertise

Alan is also a techie. His father was a British soldier in the 4th Indian Division in WWII, with Sikhs and Gurkhas. He was a sergeant in signals and after that, he was a printer who typeset magazines and books on his linotype machine. Those skills were passed on to Alan and his brothers, who all worked for Telecom Australia, on more advanced signals (communications). After studying electronics, communications, and computing at college, and building and repairing all kinds of electronics, Alan switched to programming and team building and management.

He has a fascination with shooting video footage and video editing, so watch out if he points his Canon 7d in your direction.
