To be fair the Hackney born rap artist should have been interviewed a long time ago but fate booked the interview for another day. That day is today and now we get a chance to step into the world of Halio. Enjoy.

Question: What got you into singing?

Halio: To be honest, I saw it as a way of staying off roads. Was banging with NTF (NineToFive) in Hackney.

So yeah, really and truly, for me it was a desire to stay off roads, and a way to express myself without getting into any more trouble than I was in.

Question: What is your favorite colour and why?

Halio: To be honest, I have 2. red And purple. All Day.. SuuWoo

Question: If you couldn’t be a singer what would be your dream career?

Halio: Probably a footballer for Ade Peter White’s Team Badman United (CHECK OUT WHAT BAD MAN UNITED IS ALL ABOUT)

Question: Where do you see yourself in 3 years?

Halio: Married to my chick Georgia, settled down finally, out of the hood, and performing on stage.

Question: Do you have a role model? If so who are they and why?

Halio: My Dad. They say like father like son, but he’s really helped me out recently, since I got arrested but seriously things got a lil bit too emotional at home in South West. But, thanks to a great group of loyal friends, the love of my girl, and my family, I feel blessed to still be here, and not behind bars.

Question: Mention 4 words that you feel best describes you.

Halio: Loyal, Real, Caring, Loving

Question: What (or who) inspires you to write the lyrics to your songs (or do you have a songwriter)?

Halio: Anything really. From troubled relationships in the past, gang life, anger, current affairs, all over the world.

Question: Do you snack? If so, what’s your favorite snack?

Halio: It’s a Greek dip, made from yogurt, cucumber, mint and garlic. Throw some pita bread on a BBQ, and enjoy as a snack.

Question: What’s your favorite film?

Halio: Yeesh, Kingsley man. You had to kill me with this question LOL… ZORBA THE GREEK lol. Erm, Probably Shawshank Redemption. Such a sick film, or the one about a prisoner who kills people on the outside from the inside. JHEEZE!

Question: Will you perform at Roehampton’s next summer ball?

Halio: Not gonna say No, coz obviously, I’m a Roey boy. I was born at Queen Mary’s 22 years ago, And I studied Here!!! But I’m not sure. If the organisers wanna hold me, then boy I’d be more than happy to sit down and talk 🙂
