Ray Riccio, CEO states, “Sedgwick & Cedar respects and celebrates the birthplace and heritage of Hip Hop culture and those who paved the way. We pay homage to the roots and pioneers of Hip Hop by providing authentic heritage clothing and footwear that celebrates the legendary style of the culture. However, we recognize that everything we do is really inspired by the music. It was essential for us to pay homage to the music that inspired Hip Hop; like James Brown, Jimmy Castor, The Isley Brothers, The Incredible Bongo Band, King Tubby and others.

Riccio adds, “music was always part of our brand vision, because the unique style of Hip Hop; the clothes, sneakers, cars was and always will be about the music first. But we were very conscientious to align with the right record label that understood the roots of where the music came from and could connect the funk of the past in a contemporary way to Hip Hop today. Once Easy Mo Bee was on board, we new it was time to bring the music back to its roots.” Easy Mo Bee and “AB Money” Mosley, President of Platinum Ice will oversee creativity of Sedgwick & Cedar Records through a separate division of Platinum Ice Records LLC.

Easy Mo Bee has produced more than 25 platinum records and produced for both Biggie Smalls + Tupac.
