Boss Hog Bacon Explosion

In the world of cooking, there has been a bacon explosion! Each day chefs and cookbook authors are creating new ways to cook my favorite food bacon. I should say its not just chefs that are creating new ways to cook bacon its also every day people who through various blogs and websites are sharing how they cook bacon in their home kitchen.

Take for example the blog Make Life Delicious started by Sunshine Crawford. She started a blog dedicated to quick and easy recipes because we live in a very busy world. She says, “People don’t have hours a day to cook for their family. Quick and easy recipes are about all I cook!” I enjoyed looking through her blog because you could see how passionate she was about sharing these types of recipes with others.

baconwrappedcrackers

Take for example her classic Bacon-Wrapped Cracker Appetizer. Its simple and made with stuff that is always in your fridge and pantry! And oh yes is this bacony good! Bacon-Wrapped Cracker Appetizer

Ingredients: Club Crackers, Thin Sliced Bacon Grated Parmesan Cheese

Directions: Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Lay crackers face up (as many as you want) on cookie sheet. Scoop about 1 tsp. of grated parmesan cheese on to each cracker. Cut your package of bacon in half and carefully (so cheese does not fall off), wrap each cracker with a slice of bacon, completely covering the cracker (it should fit snugly around the cracker). Place the bacon-wrapped crackers on to a baking sheet that has a rack on it. Place in 250 degree oven for about 2 hours.
