Film Festival Achieves Massive Growth

One of Hollywood’s most exciting new film festivals rolls out this Tuesday, June 12th, 2012; the New Media Film Festival. As the internet is the main format of entertainment undergoing massive growth, the New Media Film Festival reflects that increase with an increase of stars attending this year.

Science Fiction Legend Ray Bradbury Honored

Man of Action Studios Duncan Rouleau, creator and writer of many graphic novels and producer and creator of Ben 10 (the most successful superhero launch of the past decade with three billion dollars of merchandise sales, and also writer and executive producer of Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man on Disney XD) will present the Legend Award posthumously to the family of Ray Bradbury at the 3rd Annual New Media Film Festival on Tuesday, June 12th, 2012.

Screen Legend Sally Kirkland Takes the Stage

Actress and Oscar nominee Sally Kirkland will accept on behalf of the Bradbury family. Kirkland worked with the author when she starred in the Zero Hour episode as Mary Marcus in 1992 on the Ray Bradbury Theatre television series that aired on HBO and later on the USA network.

Duncan Rouleau is part of Man of Action Studios, who are superstars in the comic and TV animation and action world as the creators and producers and writers of the hit- Ben 10. Their Ben 10 empire has generated over three billion dollars in sales based on their four television series and merchandising. Joel Silver is now producing a feature film adaptation of their creation. Ben 10 has also launched two live-action TV movies and is seen in more than 168 countries and 312 million households. Man of Action Studios also created Generator Rex, Ultimate Spider-Man on Disney XD, and also create numerous video games, TV shows, films, comic books, graphic novels, and stage productions among more.

Film Festival’s Global Reach

The 3rd Annual New Media Film Festival will be help on June 12th and June 13th at The Landmark West, with its’ motto- Honoring Stories Worth Telling. Eighty New Media Films will screen including fifteen world premieres and five North American premieres. The films come from Romania, South Africa, United States, United Kingdom, Portugal, India, Vietnam, Spain, Croatia, Taiwan, Singapore, Canada and France and the categories for the nominated projects are: Web Series, Music Videos, Shorts (all formats), Digital Comics, Machinima, Trailers, SRC-Socially Responsible Content, Documentaries and mobile.

Festival Highlights Include T.V. Star Ed Asner

Ed Asner and Mark Rydell to receive Best Actor Awards for their work in Good Men, Q & A with Sally Kirkland, Charlene Tilton and Brian Krause after Actors Anonymous screening, Tippi Hedren to speak after The Elephant Man’s Journey, Awards Ceremony – Judging from Pixar, Industrial Light & Magic, The Caucus and other Industry leaders, Art on Wall Screening, New Media Marketing Table (Place One/Take One), PopChips Networking Lounge, Red Carpet arrival for the stars.
