Lisa Rinna Comes Back Home to Salem

Days of Our Lives is continuing to return to its family roots with another fan favorite from the 1990s: Lisa Rinna as reformed drug addict turned good/bad girl Billie Reed. The actress originated the role from 1992 to 1995; the character’s popularity peaked when Billie and Bo Brady (Robert Kelker-Kelly) became a supercouple.

Lisa then resided for two years as nutty yet naughty Taylor McBride on FOX’s Melrose Place, and co-hosted with Ty Treadway (ex-Colin, ex-Troy, One Life to Live) for four years (2002-06) on SOAPnet’s Emmy-nominated SoapTalk. She also returned to Days for a short time from 2002 to 2003, and competed on Dancing with the Stars and Celebrity Apprentice.

Lisa and husband Harry Hamiln had recurring roles on CW’s Veronica Mars, performed in the Broadway adaptation of Chicago in 2009, and now star in TV Land‘s reality series Harry Loves Lisa. Like his wife, Harry also competed on Dancing with the Stars in 2006.

Billie’s return to Salem remains top secret, so no word on whether her storyline will have anything to do with the newly reunited Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso).

Lisa starts shooting her scenes in December; they would air sometime next year.
