Folsom Police Arrest One of Two Flat Screen Thieves

Folsom Police today announced the arrest of William Jerry Frear for suspicion of commercial burglary.

Last month Folsom Police distributed photos of two unidentified males suspected of breaking into numerous businesses and stealing flat screen televisions. Widespread media attention led to an anonymous tip and subsequent arrest of Frear, 43 of Rancho Cordova.

Frear was arrested March 11, 2009 at the Sacramento County Jail, where he was already in custody on unrelated charges.

Folsom Police Detective Rick Olson said “We appreciate the support of our local media. Through their distribution of the information we were able to identify and arrest someone responsible for a series of burglaries throughout the Sacramento region.”

Still on the loose is Frear’s accomplice, described as a light skinned male adult, in his late 30s to 40s, with a thin build and receding hairline.

Police are still seeking the public assistance to identify this man. To provide information about this suspect, contact Detective Rick Olson at (916) 351-3323.
