DADT was repealed with a 65 to 31 votes today. The law that was put into place in 1993 has been debated for several years and has been a big issue on President Obama’s Administration.
Victory is not only seen by the Gay and Lesbian community but a victory for the country as a whole. Equal rights for all and the ability to live in freedom; the American way is the messege this sends.
The discrimination against someone based on their sexual orientation ends today.
